The home-grown TV show that raised a generation is back with all the magic you remember (and that song you can’t forget!) in a brand-new Australian musical by Paul Hodge based on the seminal stories of much-loved children’s book author Paul Jennings.
In an old lighthouse, single dad Tony Twist and his kids Pete, Linda and Bronson are about to embark on a magical adventure to unravel a 200 year old mystery and protect their home from the greedy Gribble family who want to turn their piece of paradise into an Aqua-World-Casino-Burger-Joint-Amusement-Park.
With the help of a haunted outhouse, a crystal ball, some friendly ghosts and smelly feet (up the pong!), this family might just have what it takes to save the day!
Captained by Director and Dramaturg Simon Phillips (Muriel’s Wedding: The Musical, Ladies in Black), Round The Twist The Musical is a quintessentially Australian joyous celebration of oddballs and misfits — where if you stand out then you’ll fit right in!

GETTING TO THE VENUE
BY TRAIN: Stop at South Brisbane Station, opposite QPAC in Grey Street.
BY BUS: From 15 August the outbound bus services platform has moved to the end of Victoria Bridge across to the other side of Grey St (Melbourne St, opposite Starbucks Coffee). Platform 2 and Platform 3 will remain in this location for the duration of the Brisbane Metro works. Services will continue to operate from this temporary location as per bus timetables.
BY CITYCAT: Stop at the South Bank ferry stop, which is only a short walk along the river from QPAC.
BY TAXI: The taxi area is located on the Grey Street side of QPAC. Free taxi phones are located in the Melbourne Street foyer, Cremorne Theatre lobby and near the Playhouse cloakroom.
BY CAR: There are a number of paid carparks available in the vicinity. We advise reviewing the Queensland Performing Arts Centre Visit Guide, for full details.
