What to Watch For:
For Cabaret in London, the Playhouse Theatre will be renovated into an in-the-round auditorium. Audience members will be able to sit at tables to evoke a club setting, rather than a traditional proscenium arch theatre. As a result, the seating capacity at the Playhouse Theatre has been reduced to accommodate 550 patrons per performance.
The Cabaret musical was first staged in 1966 featuring Joel Grey as the Emcee. However Cabaret became a popular twentieth-century musical thanks to the 1972 Cabaret movie starring Liza Minnelli as Sally Bowles.
