“He said, ‘The day will come when they don’t cut our heads off in front of people.’ And I asked him, ‘Why?’ And he said, ‘Because we’ll cut them off ourselves.’”

In a world where we’re all craving our own personal space, what happens when people get too close? For some, they turn to violence in order to assert their dominance. In A Fight Against… (Una Lucha Contra), audiences can consider what violence means in today’s society, and whether it brings people together or drives us apart. Book A Fight Against… (Una Lucha Contra) tickets on TodayTix.
The A Fight Against… (Una Lucha Contra) play focuses on different types of people all living across the Americas. During the show, you’ll meet a Chilean lecturer, a Mexican hangman, desert guards and study groups. Separately, their lives couldn’t be further apart. Collectively, their lives have been impacted by violence.
Repercussions of violence can reverberate in a person's mind for years, decades, or a whole lifetime. When you’re confronted by attacks though, it’s hard to think about anything else. By the end of the play, you’ll be illuminated by how vicious aggression can be used in meaningful ways.
