Grease is the word! Rock up with your T-Birds and your Pink Ladies for a night under the bleachers at Rydell High, and book Grease tickets on TodayTix.
The 1978 film saw John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John play two loved-up teens in Rydell High, a 1950s high school. Elements of the film remain, including songs like “You’re The One That I Want” and “There Are Worse Things I Could Do."
London Theatre said Grease is a “fitfully gritty take on the beloved musical that will still give you chills.” Multiply all the theatre fun you can have in the West End.
The Grease musical starts off with an unexpected reunion. One summer, Danny Zuko and Sandy Dumbrowski fall head over heels for one another. So imagine Sandy’s surprise when she transfers school for her senior year and sees Danny walking the corridors.
As they rekindle their spark and declare their unrequited love — just like teenagers do — Danny and Sandy have to survive high school first. Dances, prom nights, and sleepovers are big events for these Rydell High teens, but can they go together like rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong?

You may know the blockbuster hit. Grease was one of the most successful 20th-century movie musical. But did you know the stage musical came first? Chicago-based group Kingston Mines Theatre premiered Grease in 1971.
The musical's creators, Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey took inspiration from William Howard Taft School, a Chicago public school that writer Jim Jacobs attended, and nine miles away from the world premiere location. Even though Grease was Jacobs and Casey’s only musical, they’ve definitely gone down in the musical theatre yearbook!
50 years later, Grease combines the electric feeling from the original musical and film with a new look. Dame Arlene Phillips choreographs pulsating dance routines to "Greased Lightnin'" and "Born to Hand Jive,” and the added grit allows the teenage stories to take centre stage. Don’t be a beauty school dropout, because this is the musical you need, oh yes indeed!
