The Dirty Dancing film and its song set the world alight in the 1980s. Eleanor Bergstein’s stage adaptation attracts a new generation to the Dirty Dancing story with its political and social storylines, while also remaining faithful to the original blockbuster. By the end of the show, you will have experienced life in 1960s America and wish you could stay at summer camp.
Watch out for Austin Wilks’s exciting, authentic choreography, which uses 1960s trends while incorporating modern moves. There’s also 1960s-inspired costumes too. Imagine you’re visiting Kellerman’s at Dirty Dancing wear your ponchos and cat-eye sunglasses, and pose with a peace sign outside the theatre before the show.
