There are giants in the sky! Climb up the beanstalk and imagine you’re walking through the clouds at Jack and the Beanstalk this Christmas.
Many London Palladium pantomime famous faces return for another year of Christmassy silliness. The Jack and the Beanstalk cast includes Julian Clary, Paul Zerdin, Nigel Havers, and Gary Wilmot. They all starred in the 2021 show, Pantoland at the Palladium.
There’s also newcomers to the London Palladium cast too. Alexandra Burke will play Mrs. Blunderbore, the giant’s wife, in this year’s show, and Rob Madge, Louis Gaunt, and Natalie McQueen also star.
At the beginning, we meet Jack, a young boy who is trying to make some money. In order to raise some cash, Jack sells the family’s cow for a few magic beans. At first, his mother can’t believe his actions. Who would sell an important animal for some silly beans? But then, as Jack plants the beans, a shoot skyrockets through the clouds. Who will Jack meet?
Expect joy, laughter, and plenty of topical comedy routines in this Jack and the Beanstalk.

Throughout the 20th century, the London Palladium regularly hosted pantomimes on an annual basis from 1948 to 1986. Pantomimes then stopped for 30 years, until the tradition came back with 21st century magic in 2016. Recent shows include Cinderella, Snow White, and a circus-inspired Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
Even though each year is a different story, expect inside jokes and silly commentary from previous London Palladium pantomines. Enjoy raucous skits and get ready to hear pop songs with new lyrics. You’ll never forget a Palladium panto.
