Welcome to Fat Sam's Grand Slam! The gangster musical comes to London’s Alexandra Palace this Christmas.
Even though the Bugsy Malone musical is set in 1920s New York, there’s no real gang leaders here. A stellar cast of young performers play the mobsters — teenagers play adult bosses and budding Hollywood stars. And when the kids shoot at each other, there’s no real bullets. Instead, it’s custard pies and silly string!
This Bugsy Malone London production revitalises the Prohibition-era musical with a new 1920s flair. Bugsy Malone premiered at Lyric Hammersmith in 2015, and even picked up an Olivier nomination for Best Musical Revival.
London Theatre praised the show, saying “the numbers burst with a new kind of vigour and rigour, yet the infectious sense of fun remains utterly undiminished.” Inject some fun in your life with Bugsy Malone tickets.
Meet Fat Sam and Dandy Dan. As custard pies and “splurge” guns are the talk of the town, these gang leaders can’t see eye to eye. Enter Bugsy Malone. He’s a "good" guy who adores the bright-eyed Blousey Brown. When he meets gun moll Tallulah, who will he stay with?

Bugsy Malone is set during the Prohibition era, a time when the government essentially banned all production and consumption of alcoholic substances. Criminal gangs then gained control of the alcohol supply across the countries, and speakeasys and illegal “moonshine” became a popular drink of choice.
Bugsy Malone captures the essence of 1920s America with a musical theatre twist. Listen out for the Academy-Award nominated songs, including “You Give a Little Love,” and “My Name is Tallulah.” Once you’ve seen the musical, you’ll wish you could be a bad guy.
