At the start of the As You Like It play, Duke Senior's daughter Rosalind accompanies Duke Frederick's daughter Celia in court. More information about As You Like It

The latest As You Like It London play is the first original production staged at Soho Place. The West End theatre opened in 2022 with Marvellous, an autobiographical play based on Neil Baldwin. No seat is further than six rows from the stage, guaranteeing an intimate experience at the theatre. Plus, the curved auditorium is affectionately named "the hug," allowing audiences to feel fully immersed in a show. Are you ready to venture into the forest?

What to Watch For:

  • Rose Ayling-Ellis makes her West End debut as Celia. The Eastenders actress won Strictly Come Dancing in 2021 alongside partner Giovanni Pernice.
  • Josie Rourke directs the As You Like It play. She previously helmed Much Ado About Nothing starring David Tennant, and Coriolanus starring Tom Hiddleston.
  • Even if you're not a Shakespeare whiz, you'll know some lines already. Listen out for Rosalind declaring "too much of a good thing," or how about Jaques reference to the world being a stage.
