More information about The Little Big Things

At 17, Henry Fraser, once a passionate sportsman and academy player for a premier Rugby club, experienced a diving accident that severely crushed his spinal cord, leaving him paralyzed from the shoulders down. Against all odds, Henry's indomitable spirit drove him to defy expectations and leave the hospital a full year ahead of projections.

Despite facing unimaginable difficulties, he conquered them with determination and embraced a new way of living. Through his resilience in the face of adversity, Henry also inspired others, becoming an inspirational speaker and successful visual artist. Now, Henry’s story comes to the stage for the first time in this world-premiere musical.

Ed Larkin (BBC’s Doctors, Casualty) and Jonny Amies (We Will Rock You, Hairspray) play young and adult versions of Fraser in this inclusive, phenomenal cast, alongside Linzi Hateley and Alasdair Harvey as his parents.

What To Watch For

  • In 2017, Fraser was named the seventh most influential person living with a disability by Power 100. His career as a motivational speaker has led to him delivering his “Pushing Myself” talk to many high-profile businesses and sports teams, including England 7’s and Saracens.
  • Fraser was closely involved in the creative process of The Little Big Things musical, conversing and working with the writers to share more about his life over and above his memoir.
  • Henry can create striking paintings of still life, animals, and landscapes using his mouth and Gouache paint.
  • Fraser’s The Little Big Things memoir attracted the attention of several A-List celebrities, including J.K. Rowling. The author first became aware of Henry after defending him from an internet troll. She later wrote a foreword in his autobiography, referring to him as “one of the most remarkable people I’ve ever met.”
