A new musical adaptation of Burlesque is planning a U.K. premiere. Grammy Award-winning singer Christina Aguilera is set to produce the stage version of the 2010 movie musical, in which she starred as an up-and-coming singer at a Los Angeles burlesque lounge, whose owner, Tess (played by Cher on screen), fashions her into the main attraction. Steven Antin, who directed the Burlesque movie, wrote the script for the musical adaptation. Songs from the film — written by Aguilera, Diane Warren, and Sia — will appear alongside new songs by Todrick Hall and Jess Foley.
