More information about Priscilla The Party!

Experience the highs and lows alongside the Priscilla trio as they travel, perform in the remote outback, and deal with homophobia and other struggles that are just as resonant today as 30 years ago.

Priscilla the Party! in London is a new and exciting performance brought to you by the many of the same creative team that staged the original run of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert first in Australia and then on the West End and Broadway. Original director Simon Phillips leads the immersive spectacular.

As Phillips said of the show: “Given the immense mainstream visibility and recognition drag is enjoying, there has surely never been a better time to celebrate this heartfelt tale of love, friendship and acceptance and this spectacular, interactive production will embrace its audience, immersing them in an experience they will never forget.”

What to watch for

  • Fans of the original Priscilla, Queen of the Desert musical will notice that some of the costumes are nods to the original costumes. Everyone else will still be left in awe of the glitter and glam with over 500 costumes and over 200 unique headdresses.
  • Tim Chappell and Lizzy Gardiner are the costume designers for Priscilla the Party! The duo also designed the costumes for Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and in 2011, they won a Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Musical.
  • Priscilla the Party! truly is a party, and the music certainly reflects that. With hits such as The Weather Girls’ "It's Raining Men," Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive, you won't be able to stop from singing and dancing along, and in this show, that is encouraged. You may recognize some of the cast members from other shows, including Trevor Ashley, who plays Gaye Cliché. Ashley is known for many roles, including playing Miss Understanding in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert in Australia. Ashley performed the role over 600 times in Sydney and Melbourne.
