Don’t miss the world premiere of John Galsworthy’s classic, The Forsyte Saga, adapted for the stage by Shaun McKenna and Lin Coghlan. Book Forsyte Saga Part 1: Irene tickets on TodayTix.
Based on the series of three novels and two interludes of the same name, Forsyte Saga is a play in two parts that tells the tale of wealthy solicitor, Soames Forsyte, and his wife, Irene. Irene married into the family out of financial necessity, not love, but Soames considers Irene his most prized possession. Soon, the cracks in their marriage begin to show when Irene falls for an architect, which starts a scandal that their daughter Fleur is forced to confront many years later. These plays explore themes of class, sex, power, and the possessive patriarchy. See the plays at Park Theatre, they will be performed across alternate nights, with consecutive runs on matinee days.
