Are you a teenager, or someone who remembers their teenage years all too vividly? Rosie Day’s darkly comic monologue, performed by Bridgerton’s Charithra Chandran, takes teen angst to another level. Book tickets to Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon — playing for six performances only over six Sundays at the Garrick Theatre — on TodayTix today.
The 17-year-old protagonist is having a tough time, blaming herself for having lost her sister to an unfortunate accident with a Yorkshire pudding. In an attempt to heal, she joins a struggling Scout troupe in order to find community and purpose. But growing up never goes according to plan, especially if you’re bit of a social misfit relying on Taylor Swift for guidance.
You don’t have to have been a teenage girl to be able to relate to this powerful call to arms. Don’t miss the chance to see this strictly limited West End run, as Day's play is brought to life by an astonishing new talent. Book Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon tickets on TodayTix now.

Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon has previously been performed at Islington’s Old Red Lion Theatre, Cirencester’s Barn Theatre, and most recently at Southwark Playhouse in 2022. The show has been widely praised for its forthright exploration of challenging themes including eating disorders, mental health, social ostracisation, and dysfunctional families.
Writer Rosie Day previously performed the show herself; now she passes on the baton to Charithra Chandran for the play's West End run. Chandran captivated audiences as husband-seeking debutante Edwina Sharma in the second season of Netflix’s Regency-era romantic romp Bridgerton, and she now makes her West End debut with this powerful monologue.
A former child actor, Day knows first-hand what it’s like to be in the spotlight as a young person. She made her screen debut aged four in the BBC’s Hope and Glory, and performed at the National Theatre and Royal Court as a child and a teenager. On screen, she is best known for playing Mary Hawkins in Outlander. The production is directed by Georgie Straight, associate director of Operation Mincemeat (Fortune Theatre).
Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon, Rosie Day’s powerful monologue about coming-of-age pains, is playing for six performances over six Sundays at the West End’s Garrick Theatre. Performed by Bridgerton star Charithra Chandran, the show navigates the experience of being an adolescent with frankness and plenty of humour.
