In The Little Foxes be transported to Alabama in the year 1900. The Little Foxes is a play with a rich history; it premiered in 1939 and has been staged numerous times since then. Its first Broadway run opened on 15 February 1939 at the National Theatre, starring Tallulah Bankhead and running for 410 performances. For her role as Regina Hubbard, Bankhead was announced as Variety magazine's best actress of the 1938–39 Broadway season. There have been many notable revivals since including in 1982, when Elizabeth Taylor made her London stage debut at the Victoria Palace Theatre in The Little Foxes.
