The Lighting Thief in London is adapted by Joe Tracz (Be More Chill). The rock musical includes songs like Drive, Put You In Your Place, and Bring on the Monsters by lyricist and composer Rob Rokicki (The Real Gemma Jordan). The creative team also includes director-choreographer Lizzi Gee (Groundhog Day) in her directorial debut, costume designer Ryan Dawson Laight (My Son's A Queer), lighting designer Charlie Morgan Jones (Derren Brown – Showman), sound designer Dominic Bilkey (The Lehman Trilogy), video designer Duncan McLean (Shrek The Musical), and illusions are by Richard Pinner (Here You Come Again). Bill Kenwright Ltd and Paul Taylor-Mills are presenting.

"Lizzi was the obvious choice for me to direct this wonderful piece of theatre," Taylor-Mills said in a statement. "I spotted early on she had a creative vision like no other and her energy is captivating. I cannot wait to see her bring this epic story to life on stage."

The Lighting Thief is a musical that premiered Off-Broadway in 2014, and in 2017 a new version with an updated score and script premiered Off-Broadway. Since then the show has toured the United States and a theatre group at the University of Leeds gave it its UK premiere in 2022.
