Alterations is a play by Guyana-born British writer Michael Abbensetts, and it tells the story of Walker Holt, a tailor with big dreams in 1970s London. The play spans a 24-hour period during which Walker works tirelessly on a nearly impossible order. However, as the day passes, relationships are tested as tensions run high. What price is Walker willing to pay for success?
See the talented cast on the National Theatre stage starring Arinzé Kene (Get Up, Stand Up: The Bob Marley Story) as Walker Holt and Cherrelle Skeete (Hanna) as Darlene Holt. This staging is the show's first revival since it was performed at the now-closed New End Theatre in 1978. After the original staging it was produced as a radio play with BBC World Service in 1980.
