About London Road

Don't miss the award-winning smash-hit musical, London Road, at the National Theatre. Book London Road Tickets on TodayTix.

This powerful show is set in the small community of Ipswich following the discovery of the bodies of five sex workers. The community is left reeling following the tragedy and must come together as they cope with the challenging events around them and attempt to rebuild. This stunning production is based on a true story, and writer Alecky Blythe utilized interviews with Ipswich residents to create the most honest and accurate story.

As the Independent said of the show, "Doubters can be assured there is no "cashing in" on the tragedy, rather a deep, abiding sadness that it happened at all, and even a slight, knowingly shameful admission that something good has come out of it: a reborn community and a renewal of civic pride."
