John Mulaney is a comedian and an Emmy Award-winning writer. A former member of the “Saturday Night Live” writing team, he returned to the show in Season 43 to host the April 14, 2018, episode. He has also appeared on the television shows “Big Mouth,” “Difficult People,” “Crashing,” “Lady Dynamite,” “Portlandia,” and “Mulaney,” a series that he created. In 2016 and 2017, he performed in the play “Oh, Hello on Broadway,” which he co-wrote with his co-star, Nick Kroll. His standup-comedy specials include “New in Town,” “The Comeback Kid,” and the Emmy Award-nominated “Kid Gorgeous,” which Ian Crouch reviewed on May 5, 2018, for newyorker.com.
