Chuck Cooper won the 1996 Tony Award for best featured actor in a musical in Cy Coleman’s The Life. His other awards include; The Lucille Lortel Award for The Piano Lesson; The Audelco Award for Caroline or Change; Two Drama Desk Nominations for Choir Boy and The Life.
