From July to September, Mahogany L. Browne is Lincoln Center’s first ever poet-in-residence, curating monthly virtual and in-person events in a residency entitled “We Are The Work”—an artistic call to recharge and unite towards justice within our communities.
July 10 marks the opening kickoff of Browne’s residency. From 5:30–7:30 pm, audiences are invited to experience a live, artistic outdoor event that takes place across the Lincoln Center campus. Enjoy musical performances by a solo violinist at Sunken Plaza (West 65th Street and Broadway) at 5:30, youth slam poets on West 65th Street and the Paul Milstein Reflecting Pool on Hearst Plaza at 6:00, and jams from DJ Reborn before and after Browne takes the mainstage at 6:30 pm for a poetry reading with special guests.
