Thornton Wilder’s play, first staged in 1938, is an American classic and has enjoyed countless productions and many New York revivals. Nostalgic, heartwarming, and universal in its exploration of love and grief, Our Town finds fresh resonance with each new production, and Kenny Leon, a Broadway visionary, will surely bring his own indelible style to this version, which features the most multicultural cast to perform in the show on Broadway.
Set in the early 1900s, Our Town on Broadway is a metatheatrical piece, meaning it takes place in the theater where it is set and usually relies on minimal props or scenery to invite the audience to fill in the gaps and imagine the fictional town of Grover’s Corner. The Stage Manager, here played by Jim Parsons, leads the audience through scenes and describes the world around them. Poetic, moving, and tender, Our Town endures as a one-of-a-kind show about the power of community.
Children under 4 are not permitted in the theatre.
No weapons permitted on the premises. No outside food or beverages, electric scooters, e-bikes, or battery-powered transportation devices, except when medically necessary.
All items are subject to inspection. Anything brought into the theatre must fit on your lap or completely under your seat without blocking any aisles.

Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterwork, Our Town explores the cycle of life and death through the residents of a fictional New England town. Jim Parsons guides audiences through the story as the Stage Manager, while Katie Holmes, Zoey Deutch, and more also star as townspeople going through the universal experiences of love, loss, coming of age, and grief.
