About Hanami Festival
Spring is in the air, and it’s the perfect time to celebrate the beauty of the season! Translated from Japanese as “flower viewing,” hanami describes the pure joy of seeing flowering trees as they come into full bloom. Stroll winding paths to admire Green-Wood’s extensive (and colorful!) collection of cherry blossoms.
Along the way there will be music, entertainment, and opportunities to learn more about the Cemetery’s arboretum and wildlife. Enjoy a taste of Japan sweet and savory snacks from our friends at Japan Village in Industry City. For a special treat, We Sake [logo] is providing samples of their crisp and smooth Junmai Ginjo style Japanese sake.
