In 1965, America was in a state of flux. The Vietnam War raged, civil rights and women's liberation movements gained momentum, and New York City was a hub for change. Amid these changing times, a young, ambitious woman named Cindy arrives in the city, eager to navigate the shifting landscape. A Sign of the Times immerses audiences in the '60s through her eyes, chronicling Cindy's journey as a budding photographer capturing history as it happens.
Chilina Kennedy stars as Cindy alongside Crystal Lucas-Perry as Tanya and two-time Drama Desk nominee Ryan Silverman (The Phantom of the Opera, Chicago) as Brian in this show with a book by Lindsey Hope Pearlman, based on Richard J. Robin's original story. Under the direction of Gabriel Barre, the production promises a nostalgic trip back to an unforgettable decade.
