Brighter Than the Sun: A New Musical Tickets

Brighter Than The Sun is an autobiographical, anecdotal musical that analyzes the relationship between an eccentric young man and his grandmother during both of their upbringings in South Georgia. The narrative is a simple, yet incredibly evocative tale of broken dreams, familial ties, and the concurrent cycles of birth and death that compose everyone’s story. The show was the recipient of the New Georgia Playwright’s Grant and was tremendously well-received in its initial workshop production in association with The University of Georgia. The Blackshear Times reviewed the piece as “the kind of theatre that changes people forever.” This is a musical that extends beyond entertainment, and serves as a container to allow healing, grieving, growth, and reflection on those people in our own lives who lived simply and beautifully, and who will most likely disappear into the past with time. Brighter Than The Sun sparks conversations that are necessary in order to illuminate the smaller legacies that exist and uphold all of us today as citizens of the world.
