Pirnot, a playwright and songwriter based in NYC, also wrote the plays Private and Offshore Clinical Trials. Prestigious institutions such as Playwrights Horizons, Ensemble Studio Theatre, and Williamstown Theatre Festival all developed or produced her work, and she is an NYTW Usual Suspect, a member of a community of theatre artists that receive opportunities from the institution for experimentation, community learning, and the creation of new work. Pirnot is the 2022 Berwin Lee & Brown Playwrights Award winner and a 2023 Helen Hayes / Charles MacArthur Award nominee.
Lucas Hnath, originally from Orlando, Florida, shifted from pre-med studies to dramatic writing at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Known for his Tony Award-nominated play A Doll's House, Part 2 on Broadway, Hnath also wrote acclaimed works like Hilary and Clinton, Dana H., The Christians, and Red Speedo. His awards and nominations include an Obie Award and a Guggenheim Fellowship.
