Olivier Nominated author, playwright and poet Glyn Maxwell adapts his celebrated novel into a unique theatrical performance.
"Fascinating...the right show to see at the right time!" -Inside Press
It’s a strange day in New York.
America’s Last Library is being demolished, and the Last Votes are being counted in the Last Election Ever.
Meanwhile a professor named Max wanders into a pub where a woman named Ashling is redacting "Wuthering Heights". As books burn in the street and the smoke wafts into the bar, dead poets appear and commune with Max in verbatim passages from their works.
Will the poets words live on? Will America get saved? Will Max get a proper cider?
Pass a pleasant and witty eve of the End of Civilization with the poets and ghosts of Glyn Maxwell’s Drinks With Dead Poets.
Directed by Attilio Rigotti.
