Auditorium within the New York City Bahá’í Center (53 East 11th Street, New York, NY 10003). This performance is a highlight of the 2024 Guitar Masters Festival and is scheduled for Sunday, April 28 at 7:00 PM.
Accompanied by Ari Roland on bass and Jason Brown on drums, Oz Noy, who embarked on his musical journey in Israel at the age of 13, brings an impressive blend of talents and a rich musical background ranging from blues to rock. Now based in New York, Noy’s soulful and distinctive style, combined with collaborations with renowned figures such as Keith Carlock and Dave Weckl, has solidified his reputation as a master of groove.
Nir Felder, dubbed “the next big jazz guitarist” by NPR, recognized as a “whiz kid” by the New York Times, and praised as “incredible” by the Montreal Gazette, is a fresh voice in jazz and rock guitar. Raised just outside New York City, Felder spent his youth playing in rock bands while absorbing jazz influences from the local record store, inspired by legends like John Coltrane and Jimi Hendrix. After receiving a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music, Felder moved to New York City in 2006 and swiftly became one of the city’s most sought-after sidemen, collaborating with luminaries across various genres.
