See one of the most talked-about plays of 2016 at Castro Valley's "Little Theatre in the Park"! Sarah DeLappe’s thrilling fly-on-the-wall ensemble piece was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. "The Wolves" follows 9 teenage girls―members of an indoor soccer team―as they warm up, engage in banter and one-upmanship, and fight battles big and small with each other and themselves. Chanticleers Theatre’s story begins back in 1948, when a small group of actors from the Castro Valley Woman’s Club formed a drama group called the “Castro Valley Little Theatre Group.” Today Chanticleers Theatre is a beloved Castro Valley treasure, supported by theater lovers from local communities and beyond. Known as “Castro Valley’s Little Theatre in the Park”, Chanticleers is located in the Castro Valley Community Park right across from the Veterans Memorial and next to the children’s “water” park and playground.
