Sunnyvale Community Players (SCP) is proud to present the beloved children’s classic "Disney's The Little Mermaid". Prepare to be taken “Under the Sea” on Ariel’s incredible journey as she leaves her ocean home to explore the world above. Desperate for help after falling in love with a human, Ariel makes a deal with an evil sea witch, Ursula, who promises that she will give her the legs of a human. If she can receive a kiss of true love in three days, she can remain human. If not, she will turn back into a mermaid and her soul belongs to Ursula.This heartwarming show is filled with everyone’s favorite sea creatures who try to help Ariel achieve her goal. The performance, written by playwright Doug Wright, features the music of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman with lyrics by Glen Slater, teaches us about love as Ariel discovers she can attain something “Beyond My Wildest Dreams.” This fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl" and "Part of Your World."
