Join Sydney Dance Company for the eleventh edition of New Breed in 2024 – their annual celebration of the best emerging Australian choreography co-presented with Carriageworks and generously supported by New Breed Principal Partner, The Balnaves Foundation.
Leading the next generation of choreographic voices, this year’s program will feature works by Amber McCartney, Dean Elliott, Piran Scott, and Siobhan McKenna.

Supporting emerging Australian artists and the future of contemporary dance is at the core of Sydney Dance Company. Since its inception New Breed has seen 39 emerging dance artists present world-premiere works on the Company dancers.

BY TRAIN: Carriageworks is easily accessible by train. Walk eight minutes from Redfern Station, ten minutes from Macdonaldtown Station or 15 minutes from Newtown Station.
BY BUS: Bus routes 422, 423, 426, 428, 370, 352 stop on City Road at Codrington Street, a five minute walk from Carriageworks.
BY BIKE: There are bike lanes on nearby streets and bike racks within the Carriageworks precinct.
BY CAR: Limited on-site parking is available at the end of Carriageworks Way. Enter via 229 Wilson Street
