Oedipus is a play that tells the story of Oedipus, a modern-day politician, on the eve of an election victory that promises to clean up and transform the country. Even before the votes are completely counted the air of hope and new beginnings has Oedipus making political promises to television news crews. As tensions mount, this tragedy explores honesty and cover-ups. Soon, it's clear that Oedipus' fate has already been cast.

Oedipus in London has an amazing creative team headed by director Robert Icke (1984, The Doctor), who also wrote this adaptation. Also included in the creative team is costume designer Wojciech Dziedzic (The Crucible), Olivier Award-winning scenic designer Hildegard Bechtler (After the Dance), video designer Tal Yarden (Ali (The Musical)), Tony and Olivier Award-nominated lighting designer Natasha Chivers (Prima Facie), and Olivier Award-winning sound designer Tom Gibbons (People, Places & Things).
